At the end of the course, the students will be able to,.
a Recognize ways of Health promotion, health maintenance and healthprevention.
a Identify different theories on health promotion.
b Outline the history of Public health nursing.
c Apply concepts and principles of community health Nursing in the care of communities and population groups.
c Utilize the nursing process in the holistic care of clients for promotion, maintenance of health and prevention of diseases
b Identify and relate general characteristics, transmission, symptoms, treatment, prevention, control of communicable diseases.
b Discuss the general history of the disease, principles of disease occurrence and human body’s defenses.
b Explain the different communicable diseases affecting the different systems of the body and discuss its nursing management
. c Utilizes critical thinking process when providing holistic nursing care to CD patient c Apply their role(s) of students in the prevention, treatment and their management to the different communicable diseases.
