At the end of the course, given the relevant situation/condition, the students will be able to: 1. Define the concept of aging. 2. Discuss the different theories of aging. 3. Contrast the different theories of aging from psychological theories of aging. 4. Describe and compare age- related changes that affect psychological and cognitive functioning 5 .Define interdisciplinary geriatric assessment and terminology. 6. Identify, relate and illustrate the nurse’s role in the geriatric assessment process. 7. Discuss the different care in changing the face of death 8. Discuss the different social support and community services.
